Laura teaches violin and piano to students of all ages and abilities and teaches from her home in Melrose.


Laura has worked on many long-term projects with a diverse range of people, from a 3 month Creative Scotland residency in India, to an early years musical story-time project in partnership with the Lyceum, Edinburgh. She is currently part of the Live Music Now scheme, the UK's largest music outreach organisation, set up by Yehudi Menhuin to bring great live music to those who don't have access to it, and has provided hundreds of concerts and workshops for pre-school children, the elderly and those in hospitals and prisons.


Since graduating from Newcastle University's Folk and Traditional Music degree, Laura has performed with various different groups both in the UK and internationally, including top class ceilidh outfit, the Yoohoo Ceilidh Band!

Dougie teaches classical piano to all ages and abilities. He is happy to guide students through a graded course structure or simply help them improve by playing the repertoire they are most interested in, and is willing to travel within a 20 mile radius of Perth city centre.

Dougie gained a BA in Applied Music from Strathclyde University in 2005, specialising in composition and performance. He is currently a piano tutor at a leading independent school in Perthshire and accompanies various groups in the Perth area. He has just finished playing piano for a production of Cinderella with Dundee Rep Theatre.

Katrina teaches singing to students from age 11 upwards, and specialised in classical, jazz and musical theatre. She teaches in Glasgow city centre.

Katrina is currently completing her Masters in Music (performance) at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland (formerly RSAMD) and is a regular performer for the charity Music in Hospitals. She is a regular performer on the oratorio platform, and recent roles have included the soprano solos in Handel’s Messiah, Haydn’s Theresienmesse and Nelson Mass, Beethoven’s Choral Fantasie and Vivaldi’s Gloria. This year will also see her singing excerpts from Schoenberg’s Pierrot Lumiere.

Rona teaches singing and performance skills, and specialises in teaching children and adults with additional support needs. She is happy to teach students from age seven upwards, and will travel between North Lanarkshire and Renfrewshire, encompassing Greater Glasgow, and is sometimes available to teach in Edinburgh.

She has performed in cabarets and West End shows, and has supported for the likes of Billy Bragg and John Cooper Clarke. Currently, Rona is a vocal tutor for Glasgow Music Studios, and is Musical Director for Alloa Players' forthcoming production of Return to the Forbidden Planet.

Tom teaches guitar to all age groups, from 3 - 5 year olds through to elderly groups, and has taught from complete beginners through to univeristy level students. Tom is based in Glasgow but travels around central Scotland for teaching.

Tom studied jazz and commercial music in Newcastle, and played with a number of function groups and an original prog rock band. Since moving back to Scotland, Tom has been focusing mainly on jazz music and its sub-genres. Tom currently works with North and South Lanarkshire Council teaching music is schools and for community workshops, as well as playing in two Glasgow based jazz duos.

Laura teaches singing, piano and theory to students of all ages and is happy to travel throughtout Glasgow city centre. Laura is highly experienced in the Kodaly method of teaching and believs in a holistic approcah to teaching music. Since graduating with honours in music from the University of Edinburgh, and subsequently with a masters in vocal performance from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland (formerly RSAMD) she now works with the National youth Choir of Scotland, and the Royal Scottish National Orchestra Junior Chorus as singing and musicianship tutor. She also works with the Youth Music Initiative in Falkirk, teaching groups of 3-8 year olds, music through singing games, and working towards end of term performances.

Completing her Masters in Opera in 2013, Laura is currently setting up a project teaching and involving children in opera, and making it more accessible, and as part of a child's music education.
