Frequently Asked Questions About our Service

How much do lessons cost?

Our music lesson prices start at £16.50 for half an hour and increase with lesson duration.  45 minutes is £24.75 or nn hour lesson costs £33.00

How long do lessons last for?

We advise you on how long a lesson we feel is suitable, taking into account factors such as age and level.  The shortest lesson we offer is half an hour, but we can also arrange 45-minute and 1-hour lessons.  You can change the length of your lesson at anytime.

Where do lessons take place?

Lessons can take place at the music teacher's house or alternatively, we can arrange for the teacher to come to you at home or another venue such as school or the office.  Tell us what suits you best.  We add a surcharge of £2.50 to lessons where the teacher comes to you.

How do I pay for lessons?

We take care of your lesson schedule and send you your invoice by e-mail.  Payment is made to us directly by easy online system, so there is no need to have to discuss money with teachers at any point.  Alternatively, payment can be settled by card over the phone.

How many lessons do I book at a time?

You can book one lesson or as many lessons you like at a time.  We're flexible to make it easier for you.  Some students book a term of lessons to fit in with school, others book a block of five; whatever suits you best.

How can I check my lesson schedule or payment status?

You can check your lesson schedule and payment status at anytime by logging into your personal account with us.  You will also receive confirmation of lesson booking by e-mail and you can contact our office for further clarification.

What happens if I need to reschedule or cancel a lesson?

Rescheduling and cancelling lessons is straight forward.  This can be done telephoning our office.  We liaise with the teacher on your behalf.  Lessons can be rescheduled up to 24 hours before they are due to happen, after which time it may not be possible.  We can reimburse for lessons cancelled up to 3 days before lesson.  After this time, we can only reschedule.  We put these measures in place to ensure our teachers get paid for holding the alloted time.

Can I buy lessons as a gift for someone else?

Yes.  Music lessons make a novel gift, as well as being a brilliant introduction to someone thinking of taking lessons.  We provide music gift vouchers which can be customised.  There is no need to commit the recipient to a particular instrument or time slot.  Simply purchase lesson time credit and let them choose how they want to use it. To purchase Gift Vouchers just get in touch.

Can I book group lessons?

Yes.  Typically our teachers give one-to-one tuition, but if you want to bring other people into the lesson, that's no problem.  This works particularly well for young children getting started and also for adult groups who enjoy either moral support or who want to play in a group.

We also hold music workshops on a range of musical instruments.

What does Most Entertaining do after I found a teacher?

Once we have found you a teacher, we take care of lesson scheduling and invoicing, and liaise with the teacher for you so that you can get on with enjoying playing.  We encourage feedback and are here to offer advice along the way, if you want to try another instrument or even another teacher.

We also provide events throughout the year where you get the chance to perform and socialise with other musicians.

Am I required to sign a contract with Most Entertaining?

No.  You can book a one-off lesson, commitment free.  We believe you will like all our service and what we have to offer and want to carry on with taking music lessons with us.
